West Commons Tree Planting & Irrigation
MCF funded new trees — White Alder, Big Leaf Maple, Buckeye, Redwood, and flowering October Glory — along with a new irrigation system near West Commons’ new picnic area and restroom.
The trees were planted May 11, 2024, during a Community Work Day with student-athletes from Saint Mary’s College, who also helped with flower planting at Hacienda de las Flores and trail maintenance at Mulholland Ridge Open Space.
